PEANUT BLOSSOMS

1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar (firmly packed) 1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk

1 package of Brach’s Chocolate Stars

Grease cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 350°. Mix dry ingredients, set aside. Combine other ingredients, then gradually add dry mixture. Make dough into balls, then roll in sugar. Place in oven until cracks appear on top of cookies. Take out of oven and place stars on top while cookies still on sheet. Take off sheet to cool.
