CHOCOLATE MACADAMIA NUT PIE | |
1 cup brown sugar, packed |
In large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and flour. With fork or wooden spoon, (not electric mixer), beat in eggs, milk, vanilla and melted butter. Stir in chocolate pieces, coconut and macadamia nuts. Turn into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven 30 to 35 minutes, just until barely set. Cool. Refrigerate (so pie sets up). Serve slices topped with whipped cream, if desired. | From L.A. Daily News
Notes: I have never made this with coconut. Works in medium oven-safe dishes lined with puff pastry. One of the few desserts Uncle John likes. |
